Sesame (Sesamum indicum) cultivation originated in India and these are among the oldest oil seeds known to mankind. India produces huge quantities of sesame seed and ranks second in its production worldwide after Tanzania. Sesame seeds have a rich crunchy flavour and hence used in various world cuisines. Once the oil is extracted from the seed, the residue is used as cattle feed. White and black sesame seeds are produced in large quantities in India and grow round the year.

Type of sesame seeds

  • Natural sesame seeds

Natural Sesame Seed contains all the natural nutrients of sesame seeds; it is rich source of edible Oil & is counted among the most nutritious seed because of its protein & valuable amino acids content. It is cleaned as per buyer requirements to assure quality and safe food standards.

  • Hulled sesame seeds

The husk (skin) of these seeds is removed & hence is called as “Hulled Sesame Seeds”. Prior to hulling process, these sesame seeds undergo process of fine cleaning to ensure that the product retains its highest desired level of purity, richness & nutritional value.
We export different grades of HULLED SESAME SEEDS in terms of purity 99.98%, 99.95% & premium quality exports with certification of free from microbiological organism. Mechanically hulled and mechanically dried sesame seed consists of the hulled seed from the plant sesame indicum L. The colour is white. Odour and taste are typical, and free from foreign odour and taste, such as mustiness or rancidity.

  • Black Sesame seeds

The BLACK SESAME SEEDS is less common and has a more concentrated flavour than other sesame seeds. Black sesame seeds are especially good on salmon and other fish.
The natural black sesame seeds which we offer are carefully cleaned. We also offer two qualities of black sesame seeds – General and Z-Black (deep black), both are color-sorted and hence does not include white seeds.

  • Brown Sesame seeds

We also export BROWN SESAME SEEDS. These small tasty, unhulled seeds are used in cereals, crackers, spreads, drinks, casseroles, granola, candies, soups, salads, fish and baked goods.
Delicious when toasted and sprinkled on grains or main dishes. Known as tahini when ground into a butter. A nutritious mayonnaise substitute may be made by simply blending sesame seeds with water (1 part seeds to about 2 cups water), season to taste
